The whispering flutter of a butterfly
tapping against the window pane.
I catch him gently in my cupped hands,
release him out of the open door.

This usually happens with flies – and we usually don’t release them 🙂

Me neither – flies we swat, but I like butterflies and they are in short supply these days.
