More than three weeks
and the road is still closed
with no indication
when it will re-open.
Inconvenience is now beginning
to out-way my traffic-free elation.

Lets hope that all the funds for this project were secured before they started ripping up your road…
Sounds like you and your neighbors need to find out just what is going on.
Good luck.
Here when they are going to (say) repair a bridge or road they tell us about when it will be opened. Though that isn’t always the case either. Since something unexpected can cause delays.

We were told three weeks, then when that was nearly up, that there would be a two week extension. We are now into that second week so perhaps they are nearly done now.

Hmmm. That is curious. Maybe they just forgot about it 🙂 Someone was supposed to do some work over at our place but he had a death in the family. No one called from the company. Just didn’t show up and no one took his place either.

I don’t think they have forgotten it just is taking longer than anticipated. I think those fortunately few houses that can’t even get there cars onto their own driveway must be well and truly fed-up by now! 😦

Eventually – then I can complain about the traffic noise again! 🙂
