Making Time

Very busy day.
I make time to sit outside
soaking up sunshine.

Bees

September.
Bright sunshine,
warm as summer.
Bees gather late pollen.
Harvest.

Washed

After the rain
sunshine again,
the ground freshly washed,
the grass sparkling green.

Fingertips

Deceptive
bright sunshine,
bitterly cold wind.
Winter still hangs on;
fingertips.

Blue Skies

Blue skies and birdsong,
red tulips drinking sunshine,
wind chimes on the breeze.

Briefly

The smell of freshly brewed coffee
greets the morning sunshine
all too briefly; both too soon
a fading memory.

Clear

Clear blue sky,
early morning sunshine;
day full of promises.

Wall-to-Wall

Not a cloud in the sky.
Wall-to-wall sunshine.
How long will it last?

Chill

Chill in the air today,
though the sun shines
and it’s still a bit mild,
it’s getting colder day by day.

Before the Forecast

Sunshine and blue skies.
I sit outside and soak up rays
before the forecast wind and rain
comes again.
