Holiday Haiku 8

Another day dawns
cold and windy once again.
Still the sunshine hides.

Corner

Despite the sunshine
chill wind blows round the corner.
I pull my coat tight.

Long Shadows

Low in the sky,
October sunshine
casts long shadows.

Final Burst

Summer’s final burst;
staged display of warm sunshine.
Frost awaits its cue.

Teasing

Sunshine and blue skies
teasing
between dark clouds
bringing
heavy showers of rain.

One Day

Three seasons, one day;
snow, rain, bright sunshine,
but oh so cold!

Making Time

Very busy day.
I make time to sit outside
soaking up sunshine.

Bees

September.
Bright sunshine,
warm as summer.
Bees gather late pollen.
Harvest.

Washed

After the rain
sunshine again,
the ground freshly washed,
the grass sparkling green.

Fingertips

Deceptive
bright sunshine,
bitterly cold wind.
Winter still hangs on;
fingertips.
