Reflect

Winter settles in.
Time to rest and reflect on
what the future holds.

Strain

Editing done, now I can rest
repetitive strain round my thumb and wrist.
Too long computing, I’ll stop for today,
sit down and rest, let the pain fade away.

Rest

Wrung out like a sponge,
overtaken with tiredness
after several days exertion
working in the garden;
today I take a much-needed
day of rest.
