Inside, wood-burning stove alight
dispelling Autumn’s chill.
Outside a redolent fragrance;
wood-smoke on the breeze.

Outside the sun is shining
and I am stuck in here
with a pile of ironing.
Outside the sun is shining,

Well let me make it clear–
Outside the sun is shining
yet I am stuck in here.
