Tree Stump

Fairy's Front Door?

In the old tree stump
a fairy’s front door?
Or simply a place where
some little creature has
had a teeth-sharpening gnaw?

Time Now

Time now
to bring in the garden ornaments,
my fairy, dragon and the rest,
before the first frost.

Today I saw a fairy in my garden
darting here and there,
she caught my eye.

At least at first I thought it was a fairy,
but it turned out to be
a dragonfly!
