Award Free Blog

Very inspirational blogger awardReader AppreciationAward

I am now back from my time out and normal service will be resumed as from tomorrow but first there is a small matter to attend to.

I was very honoured to receive the above two blog awards some months ago now. Unfortunately I have found it very difficult to find time to attend to them beyond thanking the people who awarded them to me.

Blog awards are a pleasure to receive and a great deal of fun for all concerned but these two particular awards not only require me to jump through the usual various hoops but also to nominate a further 15, yes 15, other blogs and notify them. This, as any one who has done it will testify, is incredibly time-consuming so I have made the decision, in the interests of sustaining a life outside blogging, to declare that from this point forward this is an ‘AWARD FREE BLOG’. I do so with sincere thanks to all those who have nominated me for awards in the past.

This in no way implies that I do not think other bloggers worthy of awards – many deserve them more than I do and have provided me with a great deal of inspiration.

Once again I thank all those who have nominated me for awards in the past, but please – no more.

Beautiful Blogger Award

Beautiful Blogger Award Badge

A few days ago I was awarded the Beautiful Blogger Award, I have already thanked Summer for the nomination but I decided to wait until the end of the Mindful Writing Challenge before posting about it. Please visit Summer’s wonderful blog http://summer4soul.wordpress.com if you haven’t already done so.

Having accepted the award here’s what I must do:

1 Write a post about the award and include the award picture.

2 Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.

3 Nominate seven other blogs and include links as well as a quick statement about that blog.

4 Write a comment on each of the blogs to tell them you nominated them.

While I was away recently I received two blog awards, Daphne at http://daphnehaiku.blogspot.com awarded me the Liebster Blog Award and Ferdinand at http://padroitly.wordpress.com awarded me the Tell Me About Yourself Award. Thanks very much to both of you. I am going to cheat a little and deal with both awards together.

For the Liebster Award you must:
1. Link to the person who nominated you. (Done – see above.)
2. Nominate a blogger who has less than 200 followers (sometimes you can see this on the blog, sometimes not.)
3. Nominate a total of 5 bloggers.
4. Let the nominees know by leaving a comment on their site.
5. Post your award image on your site.

For the Tell Me About Yourself Award you must:
1. Thank the person that nominated you and provide a link back to their blog. (Done – see above.)
2. Tell the world 7 things about yourself that you have not yet shared
3. Nominate 7 fellow bloggers and let them know.
4. When they accept post the award image on your blog. (I’ve done it anyway.)

So herewith my 7 things about me:
1. I drink a lot of coffee.
2. I try to drink less coffee.
3. I drink herbal teas instead.
4. Now I’m struggling to think of anything.
5. Am I allowed to make it up?
6. If so, I’m really an alien.
7. That would be far more interesting!

OK, so I didn’t take it too seriously. Now this is what happens next: I am only going to nominate 5 bloggers as required by the Liebster Award and I am not fussed about how many followers they have. Also it is entirely up to them to choose which award to accept – they can accept just one or both, its fine by me.

I nominate:
1. Life in the Bogs
2. The Sacred Cave
3. The artful abuela
4. Short Poems
5. a stream of small stones
