Knocked Sideways

Snowdrops knocked sideways
by the overnight frost.
Delicate but robust, come the thaw
they will perk up again.

    Lovely little sign of spring.
~The three spider mums I bought almost two weeks ago now to brighten the house up (after changing the water, adding flower food, and taking off the leaves…) are still going. Though they might be done soon they are still enjoyable. Some of colorful daisies are still around too – the blue and yellow ones. There were also orange and green in that little bouquet.

I’ve seen some bulbs breaking the soil, but hard to tell just what they are if you weren’t the one who planted them. Some I think are large Iris.

I always wish I had the strength of these early flowers.
