ground covering
blanket fell overnight,
creating a winter wonderland.

Apart from a brief flurry before Christmas, that didn’t settle as the ground was too wet and soon returned to rain, this is the first snow we have had this winter. I’m so glad to see it, such a necessary part of winter. Already some has melted in the weak sunshine but we may get some more later today or again overnight.

…No snow here… though we did have a winter warning for a mix. All we got was rain.

How lovely. Like a picture from a picture book. I haven’t seen snow for years. And when and if some comes, by the time I get my camera and rush outside it is gone or turned to mush.
Couldn’t even write a poem about snow. But I did enjoy yours. 🙂
