More people need to get on board with helping to fix the planet.

Indeed, I try to do my bit. I have been watching a TV series about Greta Thunberg seeing first hand what was going on around the world and found it very depressing. Nature is just something most people take for granted, they don’t want to interact with it in a meaningful way and changes are mostly subtle so go unnoticed. It’s hard not to lose hope. Then there’s those that clamour for change but don’t want to change their own life-style. Look at how people can’t wait to jet off around the world again once COVID is dealt with, but jetting off around the world is a great part of the problem. What’s more they don’t even want to really ‘see’ the countries they visit, just lie on the beach or get drunk in a bar somewhere.

It is unfortunate that last sentence. I know a couple that did that… Not my cup of tea. I would much rather walk and see things. Once I told a relative when I had visited somewhere that my hubby and I walked hither and yon – their reply was that they would have stayed in the whole time and had room service. What’s the point of going somewhere to never leave one spot?

Driving is a big issue though the cars are getting better. Hard to not have a car when you need it to drive to work.

There are little things everyone can do – but just like good manners, they have to be taught.
