Sapphire

Iridescent sapphire,
one of nature’s gems,
flashes by my window;
a darting dragonfly.

    A few years ago I was researching dragon and damsel flies. And was amazed at the variety!

    Beautiful poem. The dragon fly is Washington State’s shining example for an insect. I look upon them and feel it is going to be a very good day, indeed. Take care.

      Oh that’s lovely. I do like to see dragonflies and fortunately we get quite a lot of them around my garden, I like to think of them as fairies!
