There’ll be no more gardening today,
heavy rainfall is causing delay.
Though it’s good for the soil
it’s not good for toil.
So frustrating! What more can I say.

I have been spending a lot of time in the garden lately, clearing weeds and planting out bedding plants for summer colour, and I haven’t finished yet, I still have plants waiting to go in. I took the day off yesterday so I could have a rest, rain was forecast and also I had a commitment in the afternoon. It didn’t rain. I had hoped to continue my planting today – but now it rains!

Our first for a long time too. It rained quite heavily overnight and all morning, seems to be clearing up now though. Perhaps I’ll get in the garden again tomorrow! ๐Ÿ™‚

We’ve had those rains already and are expecting more this weekend.
A wet start to summer. It is easier to weed after a rain… But I guess not so good for when you want to plant – I bet your garden will be beautiful!

Yes, weeding tomorrow should be easier. As for the garden – sadly I don’t have green fingers like my late mother-in-law, but I do my best! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve shade in my back yard, but some of my side yards sport some color that comes up every year without my help. I’m all for easy gardening ๐Ÿ˜‰
