Bones stripped bare, bleached white,
beast slain by the riverside;
once mighty oak tree.

    Here is hoping that at least some of those acorns have produced a few more oaks.
    All those winds knocked down another branch of our cottonwood (maple), but so far, since it at the back and on our neighbors yard… it is out of the way. Something else to add to the yard clean up.

      I’m sure they have. It was on the edge of a small oak wood with trees of varying ages and a wonderful atmosphere – one of my favourite places. Sorry to hear your tree has taken a bashing.
