Wilderness

A wilderness of summer green
provides a screen between
the house, the tamed garden
and the main road,
traffic heard but not seen.

Yes, even though I may be farther from the main roads, I to can hear the traffic noises.

It’s always good to be separated from the traffic, of which there seems to be far more these days. We have too much round here for the size of the area and a couple of retail parks have been extended so it’s even more busy. It was quiet when we moved here but that was almost a hundred years ago! πŸ˜„

Not too bad here thought the main road through the village runs down the side of our garden (we are on a corner) but at least it isn’t a major road so traffic amount is OK (except during rush hour).

love the “green screen” – unfortunately I can see the traffic that passes me but hopefully the sun flowers will grow up soon and provide me with a green and yellow screen!
