Trick or Treat

The veils between the worlds are thinned.
Harvest all is gathered in.
Lock the doors from restless souls
and children dressed as ghosts and ghouls;
trick or treat!

      We’ve had no callers for a couple of years now. All the children in our neighbourhood must be either too old or too young. Our grandson falls into the later category! I must admit to not being entirely happy with this American imported ‘tradition’ – it was never done when I was a child.

    Thank goodness you said that Libby! I hate it! Always have done, but do a bit of pretending for the children’s sakes. I feel mean but if Im on my own I wont answer the door these days, it takes so much energy to do that I just cant be bothered Xx
