Touch and Go

The tennis match was touch and go,
only a hair’s breadth in it,
spectators hearts were in their mouths
knowing it could go either way.
Victory snatched at the last minute.
Take pity on us Murray and
please spare us this tomorrow.

Amazing athletes those players. I attempted badmitton a few times, but tennis…well that’s – as you say heartpumping and heart stopping – especially for those watching!

I haven’t been watching since Federer lost, but that match was a sure nail-biter!

This made me think of something – an analogy about competing with a part of ourselves in a tennis match. It really fits. 🙂

It was almost unbearable to watch! Furrylittlegnome hopes he is victorious tomorrow!
