Blue sky,
the birds sing for spring
and a spider’s web
glistens in the sun.
Who would believe that

the change is amazing, isn’t it? love the feeling of light in this poem – birds, sing, spring, glisten, sun…. makes me feel warm and hopeful that spring really is just round the corner!

While inspired by another It think this tanka fits with your theme. An after all aren’t diamonds a girls best friend? We’ve got some wonderful chirping going on here too.

    winter noon diamonds
    precariously resting
    heavy with sun

wait to join the grounded snow
last nights sugar white gift, melts
