Siren

Cold and crisp and frosty.
Church bells calling the faithful
drowned by the raucous siren
of an ambulance.

Being that my gents are Volunteer fire-and-rescue, I often hear the call for service before the emergency vehicle is out on the road…especially during the evening hours of sleep. A different type of faithful – those volunteers helping the community.
