In a Flap

“Christmas is coming,
the geese are getting fat.”
There’s so much to do
I’m getting in a flap.
Take a few deep calming breaths,
make a list or two,
cross the things off as they’re done,
that’s what I must do!

The first two lines of this are from a children’s rhyme.

I might just have to resort to list making…I’m not very good at them.
Can’t say I’ve ever had goose. But then perhaps most poultry tastes similar?

Hubby makes lists all the time but it is not something I usually do! Goose was traditional for Christmas in Victorian times, I think I have had it once.

You will see Santa Claus images around, too – he’s called “Babbo Natale” (BAH|boh nah|TAH|leh), or “Father Christmas,” in Italian – but because he’s not the traditional gift-giver in Italian culture he’s not as prevalent as he is in some other countries.
