No water, no shower, no bath, no basin,
the bathroom has been wrecked.
I drink a calming cup of coffee;
it’s going to get worse yet!

    We’re having a new bathroom. Actually no sooner had I written this than the water came back on again – pipes temporarily blanked off!

    In our very first home we had, perhaps a literal ‘water closet?’ Maybe 5 feet or 6 feet square (maybe it was larger, but it didn’t seem that way) that housed a tub, sink and throne. Barely room for a body – we rearranged the tub to the window wall so that way the sink and throne were not directly opposite each other. Good luck with your renovations.

    Did you start this before Sandy or after? I love “calming cup of coffee” … I understand this language!!!

      The job started the middle of last month but up till now the room has still been usable! Today the ‘throne’ (to quote Jules) was removed as well – good job we have another small ‘throne room’!

    I sympathize! I started with the main bathroom, but then it somehow morphed into most of the house, getting rid of tiny little rooms and turning it into a two room home. It was three years of remodel, some parts harder than others, but I am so glad I did it, as I know you will be too! Good luck!
