Swansong

Beech Tree in Autumn
Fire-burst swansong for Autumn;
our beautiful beech tree
glows golden in the morning sun.

    The ‘inbetweener’ month is here. Too soon the trees that undress will be bare.

    Your tree is a happy sight, and the poem is lovely. All our trees are bare here.

    The holly on the right (the green tree) is usually covered in berries but there seems to be very few this year. Some trees are already bare but many, like our beech, still hold their leaves.
