by an invisible thread,
in the air above my head,
a leaf freed from the tree
yet unable to fly,
nor yet to fall
to earth
to die.

    Though most of the dryer leaves did fall – I am surprised at how many have remained on our trees after the storm.
    Spider silk is magical!

    this made me think of the mistletoe in the nordic myths – the death of balder – neither on earth or in heaven but inbetween…
