Rose-bay Willow-herb blooms beside the road. I used to gather it by the barrow-load to feed the goats.

OK – for me it is called fireweed…and is more than a weed – no wonder why the goats liked it.

I used to pick it to feed elephant hawk moth caterpillars – they grew huge on it! not that I ever saw them hatch into the moths unfortunately… I love this weed, well, wildflower – it’s only a weed if it’s in the veggie patch!
