Solstice

Solstice brings the rain
once more, windy, overcast;
all too brief summer.

    Our mild winters have left us with bug issues this summer. It may seem strange to always want something we don’t have…but my favorite season is Autumn after that first frost that nips the mosquitoes. But I am enjoying this summer one of the first since I was in school to have ‘off’…sort of – as Son of Son is visiting today 🙂

    Here we’re just getting started. It’s hot as hades at the moment. A little wind would feel great!

    I’m told the solstice marks the beginning of the turn inward, so I guess it’s appropriate, although, sorry to hear it…

    Nice poem Libby, do I notice some regret in your words?
