New shoots glitter in the sun
like rubies and emeralds.
In shades of amethyst and mother-of-pearl
shy flowers unfurl, the garden calls;
there’s work to be done.

I love the rhyme between ‘mother-of-pearl’ and ‘shy flowers unfurl.’ It was so unexpected and pretty!
