Between Two Worlds

Subtly visible the veil between two worlds
envelopes the early morning stillness of the creek.
Wraith-like masts emerge before the eyes —
an eery fleet of ghostly boats at rest.

This reminds me of a dawn at a dock or pier before the fishermen start their day – though I suspect most smaller ‘fleets’ might already be out before dawn breaks. I like the wraith-likeness of the ghostly boats… I suppose I am lucky that my creek is just a tad to small to be used for boating and thus far the only wraiths out of the morning fog are the ducks and geese… Good spotting!
