Mizzle and drizzle,
not one thing nor t’other,
coat on to go to the shop.
But the rain it got lighter,
the day became brighter
and the coat became damnably hot!

I do remember when schools are out for the summer – sending home a note requesting parents look for garments in the lost and found. So many coats and jackets worn in the morning left at school because they weren’t needed at the end of the day. The other half of the note was…after a certain date the contents of the schools lost and found would be donated to charity!
