Summer Street Market;
The weather tries very hard
not to spoil the fun.

Every other year the small ‘town’ where I live holds a ‘Victorian Street Market’ along the High Street and it is today. This time the theme is the Queen’s Jubilee. Despite the heavy downpours and flooding that many areas of the UK have been suffering over the last few days here, at least today, has been sunshine and showers (some heavy but thankfully no flooding) and the event has been able to carry on.

This sounds lovely. Looking at our morning paper I noted that a local parade here was rained on. It was still well attended despite the rain.

Wouldn’t it be lovely

not to spoil the fun!

By the way, thanks for responding to my request for opinions on whether or not to start a new blog. I’ll still be posting poetry, but for now, not as regularly. Will let you know when I have time to go back to posting poetry on a specific day every week.
